03. November 2021 – Entrepreneurship Skills for Postdocs

Academics do important work. Their research and findings form the basis on which innovation is built. However, it is not always possible to rely on third parties to recognize the potential of new expertise to provide solutions for the world beyond university walls. Knowing how to carry innovation into society is a crucial future skill for those engaged in research work. Being able to illustrate potential, make full use of existing resources and build new connections is essential- for academic research, life in a modern world and preparing students for tomorrow.

Leading Yourself and Others

26.06.2021 – Leading Yourself and Others

Do you have what it takes to be a leader? The answer is most assuredly YES- if you are willing to learn a few key things about yourself.

In order to effectively lead others you must first be able to lead yourself. Managing stress, time and emotions, overcoming set-backs and knowing how to motivate yourself regardless of circumstances are the first leadership skills to master.

You can then build on these abilities to create resilience, motivation and cooperation in others. Add strategic thinking and effective communication and you may even be called a visionary!

09.06.2021 – Entrepreneurial Thinking: A Future Skill for Academics

As a well-educated high potential, your expertise will be needed to find innovative solutions to new and complex problems as they arise within companies, organisations and society. The ability to think in a solution-oriented manner in unprecedented situations requires a combination of analytical, creative and strategic skills that is highly sought after in modern working environments. Drawing logical connections between unrelated fields and translating them into direct plans for action is a major asset for both professional and personal success.  While it comes naturally only to a select few, it is a skill that can be learned. Join us for this workshop to find out how!
