Dr. Matthias Dill is CEO and managing partner of EIP Europe. EIP is a global investment platform focussed on ESG and the energy transition, backed by some of the most forward-thinking large corporates (like Shell, Microsoft, Fortum, Enterprise Car Rental, Southern Company).

Matthias is an experienced venture capital investor and board-member and has helped dozens of start-ups in Energy and related sectors throughout his career.

Prior to building EIPs European presence, was the founder and Managing Director of Statkraft Ventures, a 100mEUR European Venture Capital Fund focussed on the energy sector. Matthias trained at Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany and University of Rhode Island, RI, USA. He earned a Masters degree in industrial engineering and a Ph.D. in Finance for his work of private equity financing of small and midsized companies.
